Rules of Survival is the biggest battle royale game to hit the Google Play Store by Netease Games. Along with Knives Out and Survivor Royale, Rules of Survival is a free Android and iOS game that places 120 players on a gigantic island map where only a single player (or team) can survive and win. This is 20 more players than PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, a popular PC game by PUBG Corporation.
Rules of Survival also has a PC login version with a separate guide for that.
Sadly, some Android devices and emulators were unsupported due to outdated hardware or software. However, some recent updates on two Android emulators for PC, Nox App Player 18.104.22.168 and MEmu 3.6.7, has fixed the “Rules of Survival currently doesn’t support emulators” error message.
Bluestacks also has been updated to support the game and includes its own guide for playing RoS with Bluestacks’ Battle Royale XPack mode.
You can now also play Survivor Royale and Knives Out on PC too if you want to try out all three battle royale apps by Netease.
The following is a complete guide on how to download and play Rules of Survival on PC for the best mobile experience on the big screen with MEmu and Nox Android emulators.
How to Install and Play Rules of Survival on PC Guide
To begin you’ll need to download and install the Nox App Player from Bignox.
You can install the MEmu Android emulator which also works: memuplay.com
In my experience, Nox seems to run slightly better, but this depends on emulator and computer hardware settings.
Very important: If you choose MEmu then you will need to run it in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Sign into the Google Play Store and search for Rules of Survival, then click Install.
Launch the Android app. After it loads and downloads some resource files, it should take you to the main screen.
Rules of Survival on PC Optimization Tips
To ensure the game runs smoothly, you may need to adjust a few in-game settings. On the lobby screen, click on the gear icon in the bottom-right corner.
Go to the Operations tab. Make sure Scope Settings at Sniper Rifle is set to Traditional, and Vehicle Control to Comfort Mode.
Go to the Advance Settings tab. Switch to Classic Mode so you have a fixed joystick and fire button.
You should now be good to go here, but you can change any of the other settings to your personal preference.
Rules of Survival on PC Keyboard Controls
Now it’s time to map keyboard and mouse controls. Assigning keys in both Nox and MEmu is pretty simple. The short video above shows how to do this with Nox App Player, which is similar to MEmu’s keyboard controls as well. Here’s a screenshot of one PC controls setup with Nox.
Here’s the same setup in MEmu.
